2016 Ultramafic

Ultramafic presents a complex and enticing nose of red currants, dried oregano, damp earth and plum.  The palate is mouthwatering, vividly focused with notes of raspberry, cherry, vine ripened tomato, and dried mint.  There is a hint of briny, earthy complexity on the back palate that lingers on supple tannins. The Merlot fruit carries a delicate but persistent energy from first whiff to well after the last swallow.
